CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

GRAVITY -

 

  These classes aim to improve muscular and cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, balance, agility, core stability and body composition for any age or ability. Class sizes are limited so you will need to sign in at reception 15 mins before the scheduled start time, remember you will need a towel and a bottle of water. These can be hired or purchased at reception.
GRAVITY / STRETCH -   NEW!!! Gravity followed by 15 minutes of beneficial stretching that will help reduce the risk of injury and prevent muscle soreness. Class sizes are limited so you will need to sign in at reception 15 mins before the scheduled start time, remember you will need your own yoga mat and towel. These can be purchased at reception.
GRAVITY CIRCUIT -   This class incorporates the use of the Gravity machines as well as circuit based activities. The class runs for 1 hour and provides a medium to intense workout. A total body workout that is sure to please everyone. You will need a towel and a drink bottle. These can be purchased at reception.
GRAVITY CORE -   NEW!!! 45min class focusing on core control and stability. This class blends together standard Gravity exercises with pilates influenced moves, resulting in a dynamic, effective and functional way to train the core and entire body. Great for anyone seeking a strong functional core. Class sizes are limited so you will need to sign in at reception 15 mins before the scheduled start time. Remember you will need a towel. These can be hired at reception. Remember to bring your water.
GRAVITY X -   NEW!!! 45min class taking gravity to a more intense and challenging level. Not for the faint hearted or first time participants. More advanced moves are incorporated into the routines resulting in a higher level of intensity and complexity. Great for all those looking to get more out of their gravity experience. Class sizes are limited so you will need to sign in at reception 15 mins before the scheduled start time. Remember you will need a towel. These can be hired at reception. Remember to bring your water.
GRIN -   Fresh Start's premier class. Spin + Gravity in the one class!
SPIN -   A group exercise workout performed on a stationary bike. The class offers the latest cardio workout combined with great music and plenty of motivation. Class sizes are limited so you will need to sign in at reception 15 mins before the scheduled start time, remember you will need a towel. These can be purchased at reception.
SPIN XPRESS -   A 30-minute spinning class for those short on time, but still wanting a great workout. Class sizes are limited so you will need to sign in at reception 15 mins before the scheduled start time, remember you will need a towel. These can be purchased at reception.
SWISS BALL -   These classes promote core stability as the unstable surface forces a reaction from your deep stability muscles. The ball will increase the intensity of the exercise and provide you with different feedback. Swiss Ball classes are for beginners to advanced level students. You will need your own yoga mat and a towel. These can be purchased at reception. Suitable during pregnancy*.
PILATES -   This class focuses on spinal and joint alignment. Exercises are performed on all fours and lying on your front, side and back. Exercises focus on engaging the pelvic floor and working the deep abdominal muscles to effectively support the spine. Beginner to advanced classes. You will need your own yoga mat and towel. These can be purchased at reception. Suitable during pregnancy*.
PILATES PROPS -   NEW!!! 60min class incorporating the use of swiss balls, Gravity’s,  bands and weighted balls along side rational pilates matt exercises. This class allows participants the opportunity to challenge themselves resulting in great results and improved body awareness. Props provided by Fresh Start however, remember you will need a towel and your own yoga mat. These can be purchased at reception.
YOGA -   Yoga is a direct experience of the vast interrelatedness of all life and of all things. You will feel at peace at the end of a yoga class because there is a natural realignment of your body which leads to a natural realignment of your perception of life and of who you are. You will need your own yoga mat and towel. These can be purchased at reception. Suitable during pregnancy*.
BOXING   Classes concentrate on pad work and sparring in a circuit environment mixed with other cardio exercises. These classes are high intensity and are a fantastic way to tone quickly. You don’t need any experience, just come along. You will need your own gloves. These can be purchased at reception.
CIRCUIT CLASS -   This class offers a continuous cardio workout focusing on upper body and lower body movements, a great training alternative.
LIVING LONGER LIVING STRONGER -   Specialty training for people over 60. This is a safe quality controlled training program specifically designed to build muscle mass and increase bone density as well as improve strength, balance, flexibility and
co-ordination. Participants must have completed an assessment prior to starting training. Please call 9970 8400 for more information.
FITKIDZ -   Especially for kids aged between , these classes classes are FUN FUN FUN!! They aim to build fitness,
co-ordination and confidence. Please ask at reception for more information on FitKidz membership packages. Please remember that your kidz will need a towel and a drink bottle.
   

.* If you participate in a class and you are pregnant, you will need to be cleared for EACH TYPE OF CLASS YOU PARTICIPATE IN by your doctor. Please tell your instructor that you are pregnant at the beginning of each class.

    Please note: Fresh Start does not supply yoga mats, boxing gloves, pilates mats or towels, should you need one for your class, these can be purchased at reception. Please make sure all loose items including keys are locked in a locker. Thank you!
